The OD₄₅₀ value of the polypeptide 459–607 was denoted as OD_459–607, and that of the polypeptide 472–607 was as OD_472–607. Samples which showed OD_459–607 ≥ 0.5 and the ratio of OD_459–607 and OD_472–607 > 2 or had the difference of OD_459–607 minus OD_472–607 > 0.5 were considered to be positive for anti-HEV IgM
