  1. EPI was established by the WHO in 1974 to develop and expand immunization throughout the world. The Zimbabwe vaccination schedule is indicated. In addition, Vitamin A supplementation is given from 6 months of age and thereafter every 6 months until 5 years. Pentavalent: Diphtheria, Pertussis, Tetanus, Hepatitis B and Haemophilus influenzae type B. IPV inactivated poliovirus vaccine, OPV Oral polio vaccine, DTP Diphtheria, BCG Bacillus Calmette–Guérin
